In the midst of COVID chaos, when the world had turned upside down, I turned to the canvas. The background came first. My mind wandered back to childhood.
My dad was a beekeeper, and we had several hives. I would suit up in my beekeeper outfit and smoke the hives while he harvested the honey. As I painted, my mind returned to that simpler time. The honeycomb, dripping honey, and bees began appearing in the layers.
The sacred geometry appeared, knitting it all together.
